There is a need for more funding into the school system to support programs with special needs. This facilitates better and faster integration of students into the system.

Handling Bullying and Hate

A clear policy and teacher training should be in place for handling bullying and hate(including religious phobia) in schools. Schools are where we groom our next generation. The onus is on us to lay the foundation for a better society.

Better clarity of Mathematics standards in school

The school board should ensure that the curriculum outline should be sent to the parents monthly. Prescribing a textbook for middle school will help children in having smooth transition into high school.

Faster implementation of IEPs

There has been general feedback that the lead time for identifying and executing IEP is very long. More resources should be in place for tackling this.

Career Counselling

With increasing automation and fast paced technological advancements, kids have a big career challenge ahead of them. There is a need to bring awareness in terms of the career opportunities that are going to be available to them in the decades ahead.
